Committing to equity and a full, healthy life for everyone

The ÌÇÐÄVlog is investing over $230 million in a sweeping effort to ensure equitable health for all. Through research, community solutions and other substantial work, the AHA is addressing barriers to health equity including structural racism, social factors that hurt people’s health and threats to rural health.

 Healing hearts. Inspiring minds.

As the eldest son of a Kurdish family that fled persecution in Syria, Dr. Heval Mohamed Kelli knows struggle. After living in German refugee camps for six years, his family immigrated to the United States two weeks after 9/11 and settled in one of the Atlanta area’s poorest communities.

Hearts With Pride

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Pride Month is celebrated in June to honor the Stonewall Uprising in 1969. The events at the Stonewall Inn in New York City served as the tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement, which pursued equal treatment for this community.

We aim to create workplaces that support the work of all peoples — regardless of their diverse backgrounds — to narrow the gap of health disparities and bridge the gap to better health.
