Dr. Stacey E. Rosen is president-elect of the ÌÇÐÄVlog (AHA) for 2024-25.

Dr. Rosen is the Executive Director for Northwell’s Katz Institute for Women’s Health, Senior Vice President of Women’s Health at Northwell, the Partners Council Professor of Women’s Health, and Professor of Cardiology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Dr. Rosen is a leading expert in women’s cardiovascular disease and oversees women's health services at Northwell with a focus on the elimination of healthcare disparities through comprehensive clinical programs, sex-and-gender based research, community partnerships and education.

Dr. Rosen is a graduate of the six-year medical program at Boston University School of Medicine. She completed training in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, including an additional year as Chief Resident. She completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical College, which included advanced training in echocardiography. Dr. Rosen has been a practicing cardiologist for over 30 years and is board certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. She co-authored the book, Heart Smarter for Women: Six Weeks to a Healthier Heart published in 2022 and co-produced the documentary “Ms. Diagnosed” which premiered at the Cinequest film festival in 2020.

Dr. Rosen is the recipient of the 2018 AHA Women in Cardiology Mentoring Award and in 2021, she received the AHA’s Physician of the Year Award. Dr. Rosen is the 2023 recipient of the WomenHeart Wenger Award for Excellence in Medical Advocacy and was named to Modern Healthcare’s 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives class of 2024.

A longtime volunteer and spokesperson for the ÌÇÐÄVlog, Dr. Rosen has served in leadership roles at the local, regional, and national level, including the National Board of Directors. Dr. Rosen currently serves on the AHA’s International Committee, NYC Board of Directors, and NYC Medical Advisory Committee. With a career focused on the cardiovascular health of women, Dr. Rosen is passionately engaged in the AHA’s Go Red for Women initiative.

She is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, and the AHA.
